Θήλυ / Τhēlýs (pronounced “thí-lee”) - Feminine, a woman, an ordinary woman around you, a terrifying creature...
A creature that weaves and shatters simultaneously into a thousand pieces.
She is a storm, yet the whole sun.
A flame, a fire, and the sea itself combined.
A powerful creature!
A creature with endless dimensions.
At times, she steps away and takes new shapes, changes forms.
Some days she softly sings, and other nights she loudly breaks.
She grows many hands, changes forms, blooms like a tree.
Sometimes, naked beneath the light of the stars, reveals her beauties, and on other nights, she simply shivers in the cold.
In the cold, she warms through love, she anchors deep, and leaves when the moment calls.
She becomes invisible, she never forgets.
She is often desired and envied!
Her body always remembers.
Like the sand that travels only to return to where it once began…
She offers, she drifts away, she holds her ground. She changes forms without losing the essence. She holds the power to impress when she evolves, she has the strength to raise you high, though she may scare you, she can also strike fear into what frightens you.
The woman who ages, yet grows younger with each experience and wiser with each passing year.
A creature that births new life, a creature that grows through knowledge…
She holds a thousand hearts within, hearts that have shared, that have wept, that have endlessly beaten, hands that clasp with strength.
She is like the sand. She is a body that remembers.
It shields the source of life’s warmth: θηλές (θηλῇ- Thilí – Nipple).
Thili - giver of nourishment, vessel of delight and pleasure, source of warmth, of milk, of life. Where love rests and pain strikes.
A “mystic” point unnamed yet known by all. From there, connection is born and survival begins with the first touch.
A gigantic creature...
A performance dedicated to all the women who shape our lives. With tenderness, it wanders through all that the feminine soul bears — and quietly holds.
A journey through the woman’s becoming —through the seasons of life and the turns of fate, through the pulse of desire and the breath of motherhood, through quiet strength and the sacred act of embracing oneself.
“I grow—I grow as a woman and shift into new forms. From a child to a girl, and then to a teen—to fear. The goal is set high. The acceptance of who I am. At night, I no longer fear. I meet my fears eye to eye. Though fear still lives in me. I let your hand slip from mine. I take the next step. I try to grow well. I hold on to faith— yet wonder where it truly lies.
I became a woman. I became love, strength, song, dance, light. I’ve known loneliness— I carry the knowledge of it. Am I what’s right, or what was never meant? Motherhood. Need. The greatest love. I taste the pain and I heal yours. Anguish lingers. Death waits. Yet I no longer rush... ”
